Raggedy Man

Sam Shepard and Wittliff Collections founding donor Bill Wittliff met in the late 1970s on the set of Resurrection. Wittliff then cast Shepard to play the "Raggedy Man," filmed near San Marcos in 1980. Shepard and Wittliff became friends, and Shepard began donating many of his papers to the Wittliff Collections after it was founded in 1986. Today the Wittliff Collections holds some 34 boxes of Shepard materials.
