“Scott Newton: Beyond Limits” celebrates the extraordinary career of the legendary Austin photographer who has chronicled iconic music moments for more than 50 years. Best known for his nearly half century association with “Austin City Limits,” Scott Newton has been eyewitness to the birth outlaw country music, Tejano, Americana, blues rock and Texas punk. Some of the state’s most towering figures, from the late Ann Richards and Jerry Jeff Walker to Willie Nelson, have called him friend. This major photo exhibition, curated in collaboration with Austin City Limits/KLRU and Modern Rocks Gallery and in celebration of ACL’s 50th anniversary, runs through Summer 2025. “Scott Newton: Beyond Limits” features more than 100 incredible images in large scale print and digital formats, as well as historic artifacts.
